I’m not here to finish 4th

Last year United States Formula 1 Grand Prix  was not only about great strategy calls and Lewis Hamilton in full control, but also about surprises.

Verstappen was pretty clear about his ambitions on the radio, just to surprise his team in the pitlane and then to be surprised by his car giving up on him a lap later.

Ricciardo couldn’t understand why he was not stopped during the Virtual Safety Car period, and Raikkonen experienced very unusual pitstop, when he left with the wheel gun still attached to his car.

It all came back to me today, when I was distilling 2016 US F1 GP and looking forward to the 2017 edition of this race tomorrow.

BTW what do you think about new versions of F1Scope race visualisation charts ?
